Mississippi Engagement and Wedding Photographer

Julia and Sonny chose a very sentimental location for their engagement session.  They actually met several years ago at the beach in Gulf Shores, AL.  How appropriate that they return their for their engagement session.  I put together this slide show of their engagement photos (minus the save the date images which havent been mailed yet) for you all to enjoy.

Mississippi Wedding Photographer

I absolutely had the BEST time photographing my first ever wedding back in May of this year.  I think editing these pictures was JUST as fun.  Brittnie and Brandon are the sweetest couple, and its so beautiful to witness their young love and their sweet little family.  Here's a first edit of a simple slideshow of their wedding.  Final edit/full version to come later as well as many more of their photos.  Enjoy!

Mississippi Child Photographer|Cake Smash

Another smashing good time with a gorgeous one year old!  Have I said already how much fun these sessions are??  I always start the session with some portraits.  It's great if we can do no more than two wardrobe changes.  Then, we move on the to the good stuff.  And when I say good stuff, I mean CAKE.  It's always so funny to watch the expression on the baby's face.  "Really?  I can have this???" When the realization hits that yes, they can eat this yummy sugary goodness with their fingers while we stand around and laugh...it's on.  Cake everywhere!

I finally got to get my hands on sweet baby Owen after having to reschedule TWICE (daggum gall bladder)!  This handsome guy was exactly four weeks old on the day of his session.  He slept like a champ!  At one point we even TRIED to wake him up, but he wasn't having it.  I think some other newborn must have told him that he was supposed to stay asleep for his session.  :)  He was so cooperative!  Remember, to leave a comment on this post.  If mom can get 15 friends and family members to comment on the blog (not on facebook) then she gets a free print.  So, leave some blog love!

I think these sessions are quickly becoming my favorite sessions to do.  I love getting those sweet one year portraits.  Children change and develop so much that first year.  Just think, from day 1 to day 365 they continuously grow,  develop language, form bonds and relationships, and we get to see their own little personalities bloom.  One year portraits are an extremely important occasion to document.  On top of that....there's CAKE!  And what on Earth is better than CAKE?!?!  Enjoy a few photos of my friend and neighbor's precious son, Brayden.  Remember, if Mom gets 15 friends and family members to leave a comment on the blog she receives a free print from her session! So, leave her some comment love and become a follower of my blog.  Also, if you or someone you know has a child turning 1, suggest they contact me for a Cake Smash/Portrait session.

First birthdays are a BIG deal.  I was thrilled when Kayla contacted me about capturing her son's (Jagger-how cool of a name is that?!?) one year portraits.  I was even more excited when she had the perfect location in mind- her family's farm and land.  Here's just a few of Jagger's one year pics.  He is a handsome little man, and I look forward to watching him grow.  Jagger and I have a date for senior portraits in about 17 years :)

Be sure to leave Kayla and Jagger some love on the blog.  If she get's 15 people to comment, she receives a free print!  AND if you're not a blog follower, please subscribe to this blog and share it with your friends.  There will be lots of specials, contests, and deals announced here!

Keri is a cool chick.  She has the cutest laugh with a little nose crinkle.  Her nail polish matches her clothes.  Her hair is styled perfectly.  She's calm and natural in front of the camera.  To top it off, she looks like Carrie Underwood.  I was never this cool in high school!
Congratulations Keri!

As many of you know, I was born and raised in Georiga.  I grew up within two hours of the scenic and historic Savannah, Georiga.  I spent a lot of time there during my 27 years in my home state.  My first praline, my love for antique shops, my obession with Paula Deen (I've really met the sons...BEFORE they were anybody), carriage rides, the Atlantic Ocean, ghost tours, and my wedding...all in Savannah Ga.  I've often said that if God should ever bless me with a daughter, this MIGHT just be her name.  Well, meet another Savannah.  She's just as beautiful as my favorite city.  Congratulations to you, Savannah!

Be sure to leave comments for Savannah's blog post.  If 15 people comment, then she gets free prints!

These kids are so cute!  I love repeat clients.  I love watching how their childen change and grow and mature.  We spent the day in Hattiesburg doing portraits of the kids.  We ended up at the airport for some super cool shots by some old planes.  Awesome!

In March I spent a morning at USM photographing two lovely families.  The first is a family I've photographed before.  Three of the prettiest and sweetest little girls I've ever met!  What dolls!

I love doing senior sessions.  I'll probably even type those words a thousand times on this blog.  Seniors are FUN.  They will pretty much do anything in front of the camera.  Its just so amazing to look at young people who haven't yet mapped out their lives.  Every option is still at their fingertips.  I love their enthusiasm.  It's contagious!

I had the wonderful pleasure of photographing these fraternal twins.  They happen to live in my neighborhood and their wonderful mother and I are friends as well as Junior Auxiliary sisters.

This blog post is going to be picture heavy.  This session was just TOO perfect!

Sweet baby girl, Bryleigh came to me at less than two weeks old.  She was such a good girl and slept nearly the entire session.  We were able to get some beautiful shots of the baby.  I even got to play with my new barnwood floor paper and "nest."

Newborn baby H :)  love that sweet smile of his.  I drove out to his grandmother's home where I did his newborn session, snapped a few of his sister (is that tu-tu outfit not to die for?!?) and did a session with his mommy's friend and family.  Big day.  Here's a few from Newborn H and sister.

Loved meeting this couple and their adorable new son.  My neighbor and the new mommy go way back, and they all gathered for parts of the baby's session.  What a cute chubba wubba :)
